Necessary Risk
Your past victory it’s not your concerns
The only thing you got is the present
And the future is the consequence of today. Count your blessings.
I never want to justify my philosophy or my perception toward the world. It’s not necessary and never will be. It doesn’t matter. I’d rather do something about my next mission rather than talk about it. But here we are. Let me tell you a story.
Greek philosophy and heroes shaping the Western World, brave and dangerous Norsemen traveling to lands never before discovered and raiding whole countries, righteous Knights fighting for Faith, King, and Country, deadly Samurais honoring their family’s and emperor’s names, Roman gladiators fighting and dying with glory, Brave Saladin and the Saracens with their strong faith and believe to retake Jerusalem, great Generals commanding grand campaigns, important political figures like Churchill aiding in world wars to protect lands from tyrants, soldiers fighting and dying for their homelands and families, determined bodybuilding legends such as Arnold overcoming pain to better themselves, courageous MMA fighters and boxers training hard and performing beautiful violence, massive Strongmen like Eddie Hall breaking records and reaching peak human strength!
These great men shaped the world today we live in. How did they do it? We as a man sometimes constantly think about how these great warriors and leaders of the world are. How they become strong, intelligent, and wise. They have great quality such as strength, mastery, courage, and honor. Most of them are dangerous but gentle at the same time. They could do the Impossible thing despite all the odds against them. And that’s the beauty behind all of those stories.
Then back to reality. Look everyone around you, look at yourself in the mirror. We often times take anything for granted and waste our potential. The transition from boyhood to manhood can be harsh. It is. But is necessary. It’s been a reality since the dawn of human time. As we fight through it, everything will make sense. As we endure suffering from our trials and tribulation. A lump of coal finally turns into diamonds. Discipline sets us free.
Let’s get real. There’s some other thing we do to help transcendent ourselves from boys to men. Good men. Here are some tips I learn down the road:
1. Encourage self-reflection: Encourage yourself to think about your values, goals, and what you wants to achieve in life. This can help you develop a sense of purpose and direction.
2. Foster independence: Encourage yourself to take on responsibilities and make your own decisions. This can help you develop self-reliance and self-confidence.
3. Encourage healthy habits: Encourage yourself to engage in physical activities, eat healthily, and get enough sleep. These habits can help you develop a healthy mind and body.
4. Seek mentorship: Find a mentor or role model who can provide guidance and support as you navigate this transition.
5. Emphasize the importance of education: Encourage yourself to pursue education and learning opportunities, as this can help you to develop the skills and knowledge you need to succeed in life.
6. Encourage healthy relationships: Encourage yourself to develop and maintain healthy relationships with friends, family, and romantic partners.
7. Encourage self-care: Encourage yourself to take care of your physical and mental health, including practicing self-care such as exercising, eating well, and getting enough sleep.
8. Encourage community involvement: Encourage yourself to get involved in your community, whether through volunteering, participating in clubs or organizations, or simply helping out your neighbors. This can help you develop a sense of purpose and connection to others.
Finally, There’s one time in your life that you had no choice. But f*ck it. Man up. Do something that you have to do regardless of how you feel. Peace.
